News 2010 Graduation: Ubah Medical Academy's graduation ceremony will take place at 7:00 pm on June 7th, 2010. The ceremony will be held at North Central University in Minneapolis, MN. 2009-2010 School Year: Ubah Medical Academy will be starting the 2009-2010 school year on September 1st. Please plan accordingly as this date is before the Labor Day holiday. Federal Grant Awarded: Ubah Medical Academy was awarded a federal technology grant (E-Rate) for the 2008-2009 school year. The funding is used to support and expand our technology infrastructure. After School Program: This is the second year Ubah provided an after school program that helps students practice and prepare for the Minnesota state assessments. Courses in reading and writing to assist our new language learners are also offered. In addition, seniors have an option to take a course in college planning and preparation including completing college scholarship and entrance applications as well as financial aid forms. Award Winning Students One Million: The 2007 graduating class was awarded nearly one million dollars in college scholarships. Our 2007-2008 graduates have accrued over $300,000 in scholarships offered. Notable Achievement: A recent graduate was a Gates Millennium Scholarship runner-up. High Academic Achievement Smart Students: A GPA of 3.0 or higher is held by one third of the students at Ubah. College in the Schools: College in the Schools courses are offered at Ubah Medical Academy. Admission Possible: Ubah partners with Admission Possible to help prepare our students for the ACT and college. PACE: PACE (Preparing to Achieve a College Education) program available through Ubah in partnership with Century College. |
