Expanded Learning Opportunities

After School program: Ubah offers an after school program that helps students practice and prepare for the Minnesota state assessments.  Courses in reading and writing to assist our new language learners are also offered.  In addition, seniors have an option to take a course in college planning and preparation including completing college scholarship and entrance applications as well as financial aid forms.

Summer School program: The summer school program at Ubah includes preparation for the state assessments given in the summer and enrichment courses for new language learners.  Also students are able to take courses for credit.  The courses offered for credit are determined by student need.

High Standards

Testing and Assessment: Ubah is a public school and must follow the state and federal guidelines for assessment.  In addition, the school uses the NWEA for internal data in math and reading as well as the IPT to make decisions about ELL placement.

2008-2009 Standard Assessments: For further information about assessment, visit the MN Department of Education’s Assessment and Testing website. A passing score on each of the GRAD assessments is required for graduation.  If a student does not pass the GRAD test, they will need to continue taking the exam until they pass.
