Ubah Academy partners with community members to offer support and unique opportunities to our students to help them achieve excellence in education!
Charter Authorizer
Ubah Academy is authorized by Pillsbury United Communities (PUC). PUC co-creates enduring change toward a just society. PUC charter schools:
- Offer bold and innovative educational strategies
- Provide an environment that promotes respect for all students and their individual identities
- Engage students in academic and authentic learning opportunities, service learning, and personal development

Education Partners
Twin Cities International Elementary School (TIES) shares Ubah's commitment to providing a rigorous American education for students from a primarily East African background in a culturally sensitive environment. Many of our students have family members that attend Twin Cities International Elementary School.
Minnesota International Middle School (MIMS) is a middle school that seeks to prepare students for successful and productive lives as United States citizens, while allowing them to retain their unique cultural heritage. Many of our students have family members that attend Minnesota International Middle School.
The International Education Center is a collaborative partnership between Ubah Academy, Minnesota International Middle School, and Twin Cities International Elementary School. The center serves as a way for the schools to communicate about curriculum, staff development, and resources.
College Preparation Partners
College Possible is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping promising, low-income young people prepare for and earn admission to college.
College in the Schools (CIS) delivers regular University of Minnesota full credit courses to high-achieving high school students on site at Ubah Academy.
PACE (Preparing to Achieve a College Education) is a Century College initiative that offers students the opportunity to take college classes for free and earn college credit while still in high school.
